Most players know that pronation is essential for a powerful and consistent serve.

But knowing the word and actually feeling the motion are two very different things.

Very often the serve feels forced.
The arm is tight.
The swing is rushed.
And instead of acceleration, you feel effort.

In this video, I show a simple exercise that helps you understand — and feel — how pronation really works.

Wrist lag doesn’t come from effort. It comes from fundamentals: a relaxed grip, free shoulders, and no tension in the arm.

When players try to create wrist lag on purpose, they usually slow the racket down, break the rhythm, and lose both speed and consistency.
