Real Examples of Serve Analysis

Below are two short excerpts from real serve analyses — one adult player and one junior player. These examples show how I explain technique, highlight key issues, and give clear, practical fixes.

Example 1 — Adult Player (Albania)

Loris is an adult recreational player working on improving power and consistency on his serve.

  • frame-by-frame breakdown
  • clear explanation of what limits power
  • 2 key technical changes with the biggest impact
  • specific drills to use right away

Example 2 — Junior Player (New Jersey, USA)

This serve analysis was ordered by Gregory, a parent from New Jersey, USA, for his daughter.

  • safe and correct technique
  • coordination and rhythm
  • building a strong foundation for future development

▶ Short excerpt from a junior serve analysis

Every analysis is personalized. I don’t use templates — I focus on your technique, your level, and what will help you improve the fastest.

How It Works

  1. You record two short videos of your serve.
    – one from behind (camera looking over the centre of the baseline)
    – one from the side on your hitting-arm side
3–5 serves from each angle are enough — about 30–40 seconds per video.
  2. You send me the videos (details below).
  3. I analyze your serve and create a detailed feedback video:
    – I pause, draw lines and angles, compare with pros
    – I explain the main issues in simple language
    – I give specific drills you can start using right away
  4. You receive the finished analysis within a few days (usually 3–5 working days).

How to Record Your Serve

You don’t need a professional camera. A modern smartphone is more than enough. Just make sure the video is horizontal (landscape) and your whole body is visible from feet to racket.

View 1 – From Behind

You Camera baseline

Camera 2–3 meters behind the baseline, in the middle, looking straight at you.

  • place the camera 2–3 meters behind the baseline, close to the centre
  • frame the whole body and the ball toss — don’t zoom in too tight
  • hit 3–5 serves in a row at normal speed

View 2 – From the Side (hitting-arm side)

You Camera sideline

Camera on the baseline, 2–3 meters to the side on your hitting-arm side, looking straight at you.

  • place the camera 2–3 meters to the side on your hitting-arm side, on the baseline
  • stand in your normal serving position — don’t move closer just for the video
  • again, record 3–5 serves in a row at your usual speed

In total, you will have two short clips, each about 30–40 seconds long. That’s more than enough for a detailed analysis.
