Hi, I’m Vladyslav Ostrovskyi — Your Online Tennis Coach
I didn’t grow up on the tennis court. I started playing tennis at 28 — much later than most.
I grew up in Dnipro, Ukraine (then Dnipropetrovsk in the Soviet Union), where tennis was almost invisible. There were no courts in the city, and I trained professionally in football.
But when I saw my first half-hour TV broadcast from Wimbledon — Edberg vs. Becker — I instantly fell in love with tennis.
Since then, I’ve spent over 30 years studying the game. I’ve trained, practiced, researched, and obsessed over technique.
For the past 20 years, I’ve also been coaching — helping students of all ages build their strokes step-by-step.
I’ve won many local and regional amateur tournaments — including a major tournament in Donetsk in 2005 that gathered top amateurs and semi-professionals from across the country.
I was also invited to present and participate at TennisCon-7 and TennisCon-8 — one of the biggest global conferences for tennis coaches.
I know what it feels like to struggle with technique and look for answers. I made every mistake myself — and that’s exactly why I know how to help.
